Against analytics tools
Analytics tools show where viewers drop off. They do not know what you meant to say at that moment, because the plan never existed in a form they can read.
| Criterion | Analytics tools | Saywell |
|---|---|---|
| Curve | A percentage along the video. | The same curve, aligned to the beats of the plan. |
| Diagnosis | “It drops off at 38%.” | “It drops off on beat 3, the transition.” |
| Upstream | Nothing before publication. | The plan, the spoken script and the copy are written before the shoot. |
| Counters | Views, rankings, raw side-by-sides. | No views promised. Observed stays empty until a video is linked. |
| Comparison | Two videos of different ages placed side by side. | Normalised by age and by format, or nothing. |
| Off YouTube | An invented curve on a post. | No curve off YouTube. A LinkedIn post has no retention. |
